Tata, Cyient, Applied Materials units emerge as L1 bidders for SCL fab upgrade
Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing, Cyient Semiconductors, and Applied Materials’ Singapore unit have emerged as L1 bidders for key packages in the ₹4,500-crore upgrade of the Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL) wafer fab in Mohali. The modernisation aims to strengthen India’s public-sector semiconductor capacity, covering CMOS wafer augmentation, technology IP supply, and manufacturing execution system software with equipment automation.
