Kamarajar Port Ltd to upgrade GCB1 as a clean cargo berth
Kamarajar Port Ltd in North Chennai plans to upgrade General Cargo Berth-1 (GCB-1) through a ₹221 crore Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project. The clean cargo berth will handle palletised, bagged, containerised, and project cargo in a dust-free, non-polluting manner, with an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes, enhancing the port’s operational efficiency and sustainability.
